Sub-Regional Coordinator for Central Asia Mr. Zeynal Hajiyev held a meeting with the Chairman of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan Mr. Nazar Atagarayev
Ashgabat – On December 9, 2022, Sub-Regional Coordinator for Central Asia Mr. Zeynal Hajiyev held a meeting with the Chairman of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan Mr. Nazar Atagarayev.
One of the topical issues of the meeting was the discussion of issues related to the measures currently being implemented jointly with the International Organization for Migration.
During the meeting, the parties noted a high interest in developing cooperation with the IOM in connection with the introduction of international standards on migration management into the legislation and the effective implementation of migration legislation in practice, as well as their readiness to actively continue cooperation on programs, security and sustainable development. The prospects and possibilities of relations in the field of international migration were also discussed.
As noted by Mr. Zeynal Hajiyev, Turkmenistan has been actively cooperating with the international organization for migration for many years. In particular, Turkmenistan, being a member of the International Organization for Migration, has been cooperating with this organization for many years on important issues in various fields.
The parties highlighted the expansion of effective cooperation between Turkmenistan and the International Organization for Migration and noted that appropriate measures would be taken to further develop relations in the field of migration.
